
The results of the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) were announced on Tuesday. Among the UPSC results, Smriti Mishra, daughter of DSP Rajkumar Mishra posted in the Uttar Pradesh Police, has also achieved success. Smriti secured the fourth rank in the UPSC examination nationwide. She originally hails from Prayagraj. Currently, Smriti is pursuing her law studies in Delhi. When she received the fourth rank, she immediately called her father and exclaimed, “Papa, I have become an IAS officer. I have secured the fourth position nationwide.” Rajkumar Mishra, who hails from Bharadwaj Puram in Prayagraj, is currently working as a C.O. (Circle Officer) in Bareilly.
Smriti Mishra, who secured the fourth rank in the UPSC, has released a video. In the video, she mentioned that she passed the examination on her third attempt, and this was her first interview. She stated that she worked hard in the preparation for the mains examination. Her interview went really well, and she faced several challenging questions. She had an excellent panel that conducted her interview. Smriti completed her 12th grade education in Agra and then pursued her graduation in Delhi. Currently, she is studying law in Delhi. Smriti used to tell her parents that she aspired to become an IAS officer. To achieve this, she dedicated seven to eight hours of regular study.
While studying, Smriti used to prepare daily notes. After the results were announced, she called her father and said, “Papa, I have secured the fourth rank in the IAS exam.” Upon hearing this, Rajkumar Mishra was overwhelmed with joy. Subsequently, Smriti also called her mother, Anita. She had already decided in class 10 that she would pursue a career in the IAS.
Smriti’s father joined the Uttar Pradesh Police as a Sub-Inspector in 1989. He then served as an SO (Station Officer) and Inspector in various districts of the state. In 2013, he was promoted to the rank of Inspector. In 2021, he was promoted to the position of DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) and is currently posted as a C.O. in Bareilly. Rajkumar Mishra’s son, Lokesh Mishra, practices law in the High Court and Supreme Court in Delhi, while his daughter, Smriti Mishra, is studying law in Delhi.
